Our Flu Vaccination clinics will begin in September. We will be offering vaccinations to all patients aged 65 years and over. All patients with Chronic Conditions who are considered at risk. Pregnant women and children aged 2 - 3 years. There are several flu vaccines available and patients will be booked for the one that is most effective for their age. Our clinics will be timed according to the delivery of each of these vaccine types. This may differ slightly for each category. 

We hope to start booking our clinics in August once we have received confirmation of delivery dates. We hope to have completed our vaccinations by the end of November.

We would ask all patients contacted to book an appointment to respond to our first invitation. If you have not received an invitation by the first week of September and think you fall into one of the categories above please contact us and check.

Text Messages

 

mobile phoneWe are increasing the things we are able to do by text messages. In addition to appointment reminders and invitations we can now send messages that allow patients to reply and/or attach photographs.

Anyone who has a mobile phone number documented on their registration details can receive these messages.

Patients with smartphones can download the Messenger App

 

 

New Data Protection Regulations from May 2018 (GDPR)

Under the new data protection regulations introduced from 25th May 2018, we will continue to contact patients via text messages regarding the delivery of care if they have provided consent to do so.

If practices are sending messages about recommended treatment for the management of a specific health issue, then this is defined as providing appropriate care for patients, not marketing purposes.
